About SolicitFit
SolicitFit checks a human-written SBIR or STTR proposal against the administrative requirements of its solicitation — page limits, fonts, margins, line spacing, required sections, eligibility, registrations and disclosures — before you submit. It's built and run by Wikivec, Inc.
Why it exists
Federal agencies screen SBIR/STTR proposals for administrative compliance before anyone reviews the science. A technical volume one page over the limit, type below the minimum size, short margins, a missing required section or a lapsed SAM.gov registration can get a proposal returned unread — and the next chance may be a cycle away. These are mechanical problems, and they can be caught mechanically.
What it does — and what it doesn't
- It checks; it never writes. SolicitFit doesn't generate proposal content, which keeps you clear of agency rules on AI-written proposals.
- Mechanical rules are measured, not guessed. Page count, font size, margins and line spacing are read from your PDF by a deterministic parser.
- Semantic rules are cross-checked and cited. Required sections, eligibility, registrations and disclosures are checked against the solicitation's own text with Anthropic's Claude, and every finding cites the clause it comes from.
- It isn't legal advice or a guarantee of acceptance. The current solicitation always wins; confirm anything flagged “needs review” against it.
How the rule library is built
Each agency's rules come from its official documents: the DoD SBIR/STTR BAA, the NIH How to Apply Application Guide and Grants Policy Statement, the NSF PAPPG and SBIR/STTR solicitations, and the DOE, NASA, DHS and NOAA SBIR/STTR solicitations. Every rule records its source citation, a link to the source, and the solicitation cycle it was verified against.
Rules were verified against their sources and graded. Only high- and medium-confidence rules are published — medium ones flagged “confirm in the current solicitation” — and low-confidence rules stay unpublished until they're re-verified. Because rules change between cycles, each one shows the cycle it was checked against. Browse them by agency: NIH, NSF, DoD, DOE, NASA, DHS and NOAA.
The list of open opportunities and the deadlines page come from public SBIR.gov and Grants.gov data, refreshed weekly, and from each agency's published due dates.
